How to Make Halloween Decorations Extra Scary

For people who don't like to spend a lot of time production Halloween decorations, either it's just for the front porch or your whole house for a Halloween party, there are easier ways to make scarier decorations. You can use some uncomplicated techniques to give a whole new look to a jack o' lantern or the paper bats.

Jack o' lanterns are not only the most beloved former Halloween decorations but they're also one of the easiest to make and customize. You can generate lots of separate faces in your pumpkin carvings by simply changing how you carve the eyes. Make jagged edge ones, narrow snake like slits or carve them so that they're wider on the surface and narrow at the back (like a funnel). Other than the eyes, you can make slashes in the face or turn how you carve the mouth. To make these Halloween arrangements stand out even more, put red marbles in the eye sockets or in the mouth. When you add the candle, it will give a glowing red effect.

Take lowly masks, and paint them to look scary. Clown masks are the easiest to work with, but you can use other masks too like a cupid (the same that was in the movie Valentine) or just use a hockey mask and reminisce in the horror of Friday the Thirteenth. You can take lowly masks and add a tangled dirty wig to look like Mike Meyers from Halloween.

Don't forget to make a good impression with the food, pumpkin cookies and gummy worms aside, don't forget all the great Halloween treats that come out of Halloween gift baskets or try Halloween fruit baskets and fruit bouquets that come in pumpkin shaped containers.
